Here is a run down of what my issue is: My current set up is I have my playstation with hdmi cable hooked up to my samsung smart TV. No problems there, everything works fine. Occasionally I like to disconnect my ps4 and hook it up to my computer(new macbook pro, with hdmi port) to watch movies or whatever. Just recently I have been running into problems. When I plug in my computer it goes from 'No Cable Connected' to 'No signal' and continues to stay black. The interface on my computer also stays the same, except when I unplug the hdmi cable from my computer, where I get a brief blue screen before returning back to my normal view. Fixes I have tried already: -restarting my computer -restarting my TV -restarting my computer and TV at the same time, while cables are connected -swapping out HDMI cables -reversing HDMI cables Also, it should be noted that I have had one odd occurrence with my laptop between it working and now: About a week ago I was turning on my computer (after nothing abnormal had happened throughout the day) and for some reason the screen would not illuminate. I could hear the start up of my computer and apps in the background play, however there was no display. I tried multiple fixes such as rebooting it in safe mode, rebooting it holding P+R+another key (I forgot which), and letting it sit for an hour charged/uncharged. None of these fixes worked, however strangely enough what did work was an accidental knock from a friends elbow to the back of the computer when passing. The screen flashed blue quickly, and the screen returned to normal settings. I run on mac OSX Lion 10.7.5 If anyone has fixes or insight on either of these incidents it would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.
